A month!!

So Torie and I move in together in a month! maybe even less than that! I am so excited! And I get to start school soon! I can't believe how much I missed it. I mean every one thinks "yay, I am done!" but I am thinking "yay, I get to go back!" it's crazy, but it's alot of fun. I mean I love my job so much, and I get to go learn more about it! It's all stuff I enjoy. Who ever woulda thunk. That shy little blonde girl who always wore a skirt and never did anything without asking her parents permission (at least that was me before high school.... :)) is now in charge of people. I actually manage a call center, and people listen to what I say as though it matters! I love it! I went on the weirdest date of my life last night, really. I haven't been on an exorbadent (spelling?) amount, but I have been on a few, and this one is definatly going to be one of those funny stories I tell to my kids. But it was just weird. I met this kid at church, and all I said was Hi, and he asked me on a date. That was weird enough, but he asked Eric to double with us. and I was completely taken aback. I mean, out of no where this happens. So I decide it would be rude to tell him no, and I went, kinda dredding it the whole time, I dont 'know this kid, I know that Eric thinks he is annoying, and I think he is kinda creepy. But I go, and I was right, he was creepy, and weird and he touched my foot. Not a good idea. But I had fun anyways. Turns out Eric being there was my saving grace. Cassandra and Eric both came, and it was actually pretty fun. I didn't loose at bowling :)
Mike is going to Korea!!! Seoul to be precise! If I knew korean it would be even more awesome. But apparently they eat dog, mostly the men, because it is a manly food. Oh, and Macho means something..... it means yes or no, but I can't remember which. I think I knew a korean kid once, back in like the 8th grade....but he may have been from another asian country, that was a long time ago.
Works is crazy, I am only 20 and I manage two other girls. And possibly more. My boss has offered me a job for when I graduate from college, and I am so excited! This does however mean that I may not be able to pull off a semester abroad..... but maybe I can!
Josh got married, which wasn't too bad, it was a nice ceremony and he seems really happy. So I am happy for him, even if he is dumb. I don't agree with the way he lives his life, but he is my big brother, so for that reason I love him.

My new favorite saying "go hug a homeless person!" Read mike's blog, it makes you laugh :)

Cars

Just about every person you know who is older than 40 talks about how back in the day, repairing a car was just a matter of taking it apart and finding which piece was having a problem and then putting it all back together. Well now, we can only wish it was that simple. Tell me, what causes a car to constantly idle at 2,000 rpms? I have no idea, but I know it's bad. Because my car doesnt' want to stop, as in my breaks aren't very effective, and it's kinda scary. My dad thinks it's my car's computer that is malfunctioning, how weird is that? My car is a computer. My cell phone is a computer (seriously it is a handheld computer that even accesses the internet freely) I work on a computer, I do just about everything for school on the computer, I even can access church stuff on my computer. It's amazing! So why is it then that it costs so much for someone to look at the computer in my car to tell me what it needs to be fixed. It costs a hundred dollars for them to even look at it! Dumb computers, making everything simpler, yet way more expensive....

It's new!

I think just about everyone starts these things either saying "I can't believe I am actually creating a blog" or "Hey look! it's my blog!" So I say them both to start off with, I can't believe it! and Hey look at me! :)
I have been thinking, how often do people get so caught up in what they "have to get done" that they stop doing what they "need to get done" Last week in institute my teacher started the lesson just by saying "Sometimes all is well in Zion" and then he just paused for a little while. And it was a vey powerful statement. He went on to explain that sometimes all is well, but that we cannot expect for all to stay well, or expect for no more challenges to come into our lives. When all is well is the time we most need to be exploring new things, and learning new concepts. When do you feel safer or more comfortable than when all is well in your world? What better time to really seek out knowledge? I firmly believe that there are somethings that can only be learned through trials, some knowledge cannot be recieved or transfered through a book or a story. But there are alot of things you can learn just because you want to.

One of my best and closest friends is on a mission in the Czech Republic, and he comes home in just over 8 months! Which is so exciting! But he is so amazing. He wrote in his letter the other day "Often times people don't believetaht they can have their dreams. And as soon as you start to think that it's not possible you cast it out with the unbeliever. But we still need to have faith, believing in the things that the Lord has promised us" It's easy to assume that because something was promised to you, but it hasnt' shown up yet that it never will. But God doesnt' change his mind, and his words don't expire.
I am reading this book by Neal A Maxwell called "All these things shall be for thy experience" and it is so amazing! I love reading the words of modern day apostles. They are the same guys that would have been standing next to Christ, it's like Peter James and John for this century! Anyways, you should read that book!
Torie and I are going to pay the deposit on our apartment today. I am getting so excited! It's so soon that we are moving in together. But I have to admit, I never ever thought I would end up back in Provo and back at UVU and being the person I am. Two years ago when I graduated high school I such different expectations. But my life is so amazing! My best friends are wonderful! One of them is on a mission, one is leaving soon for a mission, one is going to be my roomate (and we are going to have some awesome parties) and the other one, well just suffice it to say, amazing doesn't even come close to describing them. My family is crazy beyond all belief, my dad is so funny, and wonderful, and my mom and I are so alike that she drives me crazy all the time. I have the greatest siblings ever, and I work at my dream job!

"Sometimes all we can ask for is to make it through, but the times that we ask just to make it through, and we come out on the other side a king or a queen of our world, that is when we put the Savior in our lives"
